GSUSA Troop # 2

About Us

The Cab II service unit is one of the approximately 20 districts in the Hornets’ Nest Council. Serving girls and adults in and around Harrisburg, Mt. Pleasant, Midland and southwest Concord, we are pleased to provide girls from 5-18 years old with a safe and constructive environment to learn and grow in this ever more complex world.

Our service unit is led by a team of dedicated volunteers known as the district team, in concert with our recruitment and rention team and  Membership Specialists, Council representatives. Membership on this team is open to all that are interested. Contact our service unit manager(s) for more information.

Our troops are led by teams of volunteer leaders. Training is required and mentoring is readily available, so there’s always someone there to answer your questions, share ideas and help get your new troop jumpstarted. If you’re interested in being a leader, please contact our recruitment coordinator. She will get you the training that you need and help you complete the necessary paperwork, including a criminal background check. Once you’re completely prepared for leading a troop, she will release those names for you and help you find a meeting place.

The locations where our troops meet are known as sponsorships. Typically, these are churches and synagogues, but troops can also meet at restaurants, private residences, club houses, schools and other public buildings. Please let our sponsorship coordinator know if your organization would be interested in sponsoring a troop.
